I'm going to school at University of Delaware and I'm about to swap my 91 to a torsen so I need a decent alignment. Anyone know of any good places near here?

Bear Alingment up in Wilmigton, not far off I-95 or the Kirkwood highway where it hits Penn. avenue, close to Grottos Pizza. If you set it up in advance, you can even sit in the car, to get it loaded correctly. What's your major? If you need some help, PM me.
Where do you intend to do the swap out work.

Thanks for the info. I'm a mechanical engineer, finishing up my junior year at the moment. I'll be doing the swap tomorrow at a friends house here on campus. I'm buying a 29mm socket tommorow, other than that I think i have everything. I might be PMing you with some questions if I run into trouble. Otherwise we are doing it during the day so I imagine you will be busy

Hey, Dan, I'm also in Newark (Ed and I know each other, heh). I'll second his recommendation for Bear Alignment. I've also had good luck at a place called Christiana Body Shop in Wilmington. Their number is 302-655-1085 or you can email at nhra1979(AT)aol.com.

Hey, when you have the car back together, are you interested in autocrossing it? There are several area groups. The least formal is an outfit called Brandywine Motorsport Club (http://www.brandywinemotorsportclub.org/) who have about 4 events a year, 2 in Glasgow and 2 in Dover. The Philly Region SCCA has a lot of events within an hour's drive of Newark. Their season opener is at Dover Downs on 20 March which should be a great venue for it. I'll be there in my Miata (Ed's old car) and my daughter (who is a freshman at UD) will be there in her car.

Let me know if you're interested and we can get together.

Good luck, I hope it went well for you , the first time I did that job, it was a jackstand event. Now, push a button, up the car goes, magic motor does all the work. Air tools beat arm power, semi-heated garage beats driveway any day. If you need any help, PM me, I have an old beat up NA manual, Duke got the good big manual.
Next time you do that sort of work PM, and with notice, the lift might be available

Duke , go some OT-2 data, using the I-Pod, now I need to figure out how to pull it off the OT-2 into my laptop, and send it off to Joe at Dynotronics. I did figure out how to move the nice pictures of the graph into the picture storage area of the I-pod, and then sent that to the Sony, via cable. Any thoughts on a better way, and is the graph picture worth anything to the ECU tuner?

Ed: glad to hear you got the iPod working. That sounds like the best way to move the data over, via the synching cable as you did. The iPod application may also have some kind of "Export Data" function that can export the numbers in a tab-delimited format, text file, or Excel spreadsheet. You'll have to investigate by poking around in the application itself. Or remind me what the name of the application is and I'll see if I can find any information.

Picture graphs would be helpful to the tuner, I assume. Raw numbers probably would too.

Thanks again for your help (and Tony's) last weekend. Did you get the replacement puller I left there for Mark? I also think I left my black fleece jacket. I'll have to stop by and grab that.

Your jacket is there, didn't look for the puller, but will. Started to randomly push buttons, first figured out how to export the picture of the graph via cable, then went to the Newark Library to use their WIFI. For some reason, I can't use my FIOS setup at home, won't connect to the email service. So, I also sent out some data log files to my laptop, again a different set of random taps. Now, I need to actually drive the car in a datalogging style, and see what happens next. I had it running from Clymont to Newark , and got a nice graph file. This is getting to be an interestion project.

I left the puller on a big box near your desk with a note. It's a new set of 3 sizes plus the broken one.

The datalogging sounds interesting indeed. I'll look at how I have my email configured - we have FiOS too. I'm sure we can get the iPod talking to it.

Any word from Dan, here?

Ah, the data logging .... I've figured out how to do it, how to send if via email from the I-pod to my laptop, but the windows 7 won't read the files. Maybe a MAC system would do it, but at least I can email it off to FM or Dynotronics, so they can open it. I can use the I-pod to show the real time data of some of inputs, such a timing advance, rpm, long and short time fuel trim, wide band ratios, ect. Now, how to make the ipod accept the FIOS wifi, works at the library ok. I'll call Joe the tuner in the am, see what he says.
slow_eddie, guess Dan's too busy studying
