Computers

Both Sturgis(Kennesaw) and Johnson (Marietta) libraries have public workstations, labeled as "guestcomputers,"that give visiting patrons access to the library catalog and the internet. These computers are available on a first come, first served basis.

  • Sturgis library- the guest computersare in the first row of the main computer lab on the ground (entrance level) floor.
  • Johnson library- two guest computers are directly across from the Circulation Desk.

WiFi for KSU Guests

  • In your network settings, connect toKSU Guest.
  • You will be directed to the KSU Guest WiFi Portal in your browser. ClickClick here to create a temporary guest account.
  • You will be directed to the Create Account form. Complete the fields, selectI agree to the terms and conditions, and clickRegister. You will be redirected back to the KSU Guest WiFi Portal.
  • You will then receive an email and SMS containing your temporary guest credentials with the email and phone number provided.
  • Enter your guest credentials and clickSign On.
  • You will be required create a new password. Complete the fields and clickSubmit.
  • You are now connected to the WiFi network.

Note: Guests have limited bandwidth, will only be able to access the Network between 6am and midnight, and are restricted to Internet connectivity through a web browser.

Borrowing

Residents of Georgia over the age of 18 may request a community borrower's card which provides limited borrowing privileges to the general collection. These privileges DO NOT include remote access to electronic resources such as Interlibrary Loan (ILL) and GIL Express. Community borrowers may check out up to 5 books at a time for two weeks with 2 two-week renewals allowed.

Quiet Study Areas

Sturgis Library (Kennesaw) offers quiet study areas on the 3rd floor and the 2nd is often quiet as well. Johnson Library (Marietta) does not have designated quiet study areas, but they can usually be found in various locations in the library. Unfortunately, private group study rooms are only available for groups of 2 or more currently enrolled KSU students.
